Founded in 1898 by a group of young college graduates, the University Club of Portland embraces and reflects the diversity and spirit of the city of Portland by continuing its tradition of excellence with an ever-expanding network of Members. Outstanding & Elegant Culinary Experiences
Our Tudor-style Main Dining Room, Jefferson Bistro and sociable Grille offer an exclusive dining experience for Members and guests during lunch and dinner hours. Led by Executive Chef Paul Dube, our kitchen deftly and expertly prepares meals that rivals and surpasses the very best restaurants in Portland. On our menu you will find University Club Classics such as Fried Razor Clams and French Onion soup, to specially developed Four Star prix fixe menus using the finest locally sourced ingredients.

Our social calendar boasts a variety of scheduled events and in-house clubs and activities that cater to the interests of our Members and their guests. Members are treated to festive occasions such as our Annual Robert Burns Scotch Tasting, the very popular Thanksgiving and Christmas Buffets, as well as stimulating events such as our Guest Speaker Series, Resident Artist and Author demonstrations, and performances sponsored by our Arts and Education Membership.
